Dear Parents/ Carers,
I can’t believe that we are in December already! I hope that, for those of you that were expecting Elves, they have arrived safely and are not causing too much mischief!
I know that I am enjoying opening my advent calendar each morning to see what treats arrive and looking forward to the next few weeks in school as we build up to the festive period!
Despite the excitement of this time of year the children are still focused on their learning in school. I have spent some time eating lunch with the children and having some wonderful conversations about what they are getting up to in class. The younger children have been enthused by the new sounds they are learning in their phonics sessions each day and the older children have been telling me all about the strategies they use to help them remember more – the chrome books continue to be a hit when it comes to this and the recall of key skills!
I have also spent time this week talking with staff about their planning for the spring and summer time and am excited to see all the great opportunities and enriching activities pupils are going to be exposed to.
The next two weeks continue to be busy ones but I hope to see you at the craft fair next Monday 5th December and the Carol Service on the 14th December.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Rachael Sharpe
